Hi, I’m Kami and I’m starting a farm.
I want to raise good food, and I mean not only tasty, but good for your body, organic, trustworthy food. And I’m leaving Brooklyn behind, and headed north, to a little plot of 22.4 acres in the Mohawk Valley, sandwiched between the Adirondacks and the Catskills. It’s beautiful land, nice pasture, a quaint dilapidated farmhouse, right next to the river. Hey, whats more, I’m on a minor historic site: home of one of the original Erie Canal locks. I’m actually buying the Lock-keepers’ house. Built in 1843.
I’m planning on raising goats. There will be a huge organic garden, an orchard, chickens and pigs. And I can’t wait to begin!
