Veggies all summer long? Enroll Here.

Hi!  Are you interested in a summer of fresh picked veggies? Do you live in Fort Plain NY, or down in Brooklyn? Williamsburg or Greenpoint?

Awesome, keep reading.

I’m Kami, the farmer and stewardess and I’m inviting you to join us for our third season as a vegetable CSA. We wouldn’t be in existance if it wasn’t for you, and people just like you who support us by purchasing our veggies.

What is a CSA, you ask? Great question. It stands for Community Supported Agriculture, and it works like this: You sign up for our CSA and you agree to pre-pay for your subscription which in turn supports people like me  with the costly things like seed buying, farm repairs and building infrastructure so that Stubborn Girl Farm can continue to grow as a business.

The CSA starts on June 1 and runs through October 26. You’ll get twenty mixed boxes of vegetables, delivered every Thursday, with two “skip weeks” built into the schedule to accomodate your summer plans.

In your box, you’ll find anywhere from six to nine different freshly harvested crops that we’ve grown. It’s enough produce to feed a family of four. And the best part? It’s $600 for the season, which works out to about $30 / week for some of the most flavor-packed vegetables you’ll find around. And, because we’re all a community, if the year is bountiful and there’s an excess of produce, we make sure to pass it along to you so you’ll find those summer boxes can easily include $40 to $50 of value.

Want to know what to expect? Here’s a little chart of what to expect and when:

June

Peas, Beets, Kohlrabi, Spinach, Lettuce, Scallions, Garlic Scapes, Turnips, Radishes, Braising Greens, Asian saute greens, Chinese Cabbage

Sounds yummy, don’t you think?  As a helpful bonus, you’ll get an email from us every Thursday with the contents of the box as well as some helpful recipes to inspire you to get cooking.

To get started, we’ll need some information from you as well as a signed agreement form, accompanied by your payment of $600. You can mail it to us, or you can email your forms to us along with your electronic payment via Venmo.

Do you have any questions? We LOVE questions. Send them along to us at info@stubborngirlfarm.com   We’ll get back to you as soon as we can.  Thanks!
